The short version

Who I am

This site is run by romanappdev, an independent app and web developer based in London. I'm responsible for any personal data covered here. For anything about your data, email contact@romanappdev.com.

When you visit this site

The site is hosted by Netlify. When your browser loads a page, Netlify's servers receive your IP address, the type of browser you're using, the page you asked for and the time — every website host does this. It's used only to deliver the site to you and to protect it from abuse.

Netlify, Inc. is based in the United States and may process this data there, under the safeguards set out in its data processing terms.

Legal basis: legitimate interests — running a working, secure website.

When you email me

If you email me, I'll have your name, your email address and whatever you include in your message. I use it only to reply to you, to talk about your project and, if we work together, to send quotes and invoices.

My email runs on Google Workspace, so your messages are stored by Google.

Legal basis: legitimate interests (replying to you), or taking steps you've asked for before we agree to work together.

How long I keep it

If an enquiry doesn't turn into work, I delete it within 12 months. If we work together, I keep the records I need for tax and accounting for as long as the law requires, which is usually six years. Netlify keeps its server logs in line with its own policies.

Links to other sites

This site links to my profiles on X, Instagram and TikTok, and to websites I've built for clients. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which apply once you visit them.
